Big Change Number 1.
I said I have some big changes coming up in my life, so here is the first…..
If you have read the About This Girl section on this blog, you will know that for years I have had no IDEA what to do with my life. I couldn’t really answer the question in college, when it came down to it, either. It makes it even an even harder decision for me, because we have an only child. I have heard stories of only children being totally lonely after school because their parents were working and come home, go to bed early and the kiddo is alone all the time. Well, I DON’T go to bed early, but don’t want my baby to be lonely. So that is the guilt I feel. And my other issue is that I went to college for about 4 years full time, including summers, and have no degree. Ahem. That stems from my indecisiveness at choosing a major. A little more guilt.
I wouldn’t say I am a guilt ridden person…at all. BUT this area of a career is sort of a hang up I have had. Until now. Now, I have found it. I figured it out, and I am so excited. It will be perfect for me, fun for me, and a perfect solution to my only child problem! :o) Check out the new business I am working on, Chelsea G Photography, at www.chelseagphoto.com. I am giving myself about six months until I start charging, but right now while I practice, all of my shoots are free. I have had a blast doing this by the way.
Are you a stay at home mom but plan to go back to work at some point? What will you be doing? If you have an only child and work, I would love you to post a comment on how you reconcile working with being there for your kiddo!

How exciting! I couldn’t get your link to work though. Nolan’s hockey coach’s wife is a daycare provider turned photographer and has established a very successful business. She even does workshops now to teach the business basics for aspiring photogs. http://rialeephotography.com/blog/ Check her out!
Can’t answer the only child question… even though I feel like I have two only children with how much they fight these days instead of get along!
Congrats on your exciting news!
Whoops…link is fixed! Will check it out, thanks Vicki!
I am so incredibly proud of you! I LOVE your work and can’t wait to see more!
