About This Girl

I live in beautiful Bend Oregon.  It is a great little ski town in the middle of Oregon.  We sit right at the base of Mount Bachelor.  Everywhere you look, you see snow covered mountains and pine trees.  And because it is high-desert, we don’t get much rain, unlike the rest of Oregon!  I love it here, and am happy to share my favorite recipes, ideas, tips and stories about life here in Bend.

Let’s see here are some facts about me:

1. I have a scandalicious marriage to an older man 16+ years older than me.  We were engaged after about 2 months,  and married soon after.  (“Oh no she didn’t!” they cried 9 years ago!)

2.  I really love him…and he is super smart and great in bed. (Oh no she DIDN’T just say that!)

3.  I guess I am a college drop out.  4 years, no degree, no direction.  Just a crazy little urge to maybe write a little of this and that…Oh, maybe a good start would be  to create a thought about something OTHER than, oh, let’s see…”Am I the ONLY one who picks up around here!”, or “I am begging for dinner to magically appear on my table!”

4.  No such luck for this blog.  You get what you get!

5.  I have a very precocious (no, that did not say precious) little girl.  I live in her fantasy world.

6. Someday, when I am older, I will move out of her fantasy world…hopefully!

7.  I never really know how to use “hopefully” correctly. On that note, I endlessly use the words, “OK” and “Totally”. If you don’t appreciate that fine use of the English language, then you probably won’t appreciate my blog.

8.  I wear high heels every day unless it is warm enough to wear flip flops or chacos.  That is it.  I have tried flats.  I feel bumbly in them.  If you ever seeing me wear flats that aren’t flops, then know I probably really just need a nap and some candy. (what’s the connection? I don’t  know.)
